Greggs Unveils New Healthier Spring Menu Starts March 14th


Greggs, the cherished bakery chain, is revolutionizing its spring menu, offering a plethora of healthier options and introducing two new items. Scheduled for nationwide release on Thursday, March 14, these changes aim to cater to health-conscious patrons.

At the forefront of this menu makeover is the introduction of two fresh selections under Gregg's Balanced Choice range. These options, boasting fewer than 400 calories and green or amber ratings on the nutritional traffic light system, provide customers with enticing healthier alternatives. Among the newcomers is the Piri Piri Chicken Pasta, featuring pasta tossed in a spicy mayo-style dressing, paired with sweetcorn and Piri Piri chicken breast slices, priced at £3.25 and totaling 358 calories.

Equally appealing is the Pesto and Mozzarella Pasta pot, offering a taste of the Mediterranean with pasta enveloped in pesto dressing, accompanied by slow-roasted tomatoes, peppers, spinach, and mozzarella pearls, priced at £3.25 with 375 calories.

Returning favorites come with revamped recipes, including the Sweet Potato Bhaji and Rice, Smoky Cajun Rice with BBQ Chicken and Sweetcorn Fritters, Feta and Tomato Pasta, and Chicken and Bacon Pasta. The Feta and Tomato Pasta, priced at £2.25 and totaling 363 calories, boasts a delightful blend of cooked pasta with tomato and basil dressing, Feta cheese, peppers, roasted red onion, and sliced spinach.

Similarly, the Chicken and Bacon Pasta, priced at £3.25 with 380 calories, offers a mouthwatering combination of pasta with mayo-style dressing, sweetcorn, tomato, smoked bacon pieces, and BBQ-flavored chicken. The Sweet Potato Bhaji and Rice, priced at £3.35 with 267 calories, offers a fusion of long-grain rice and grain mix with spinach, coriander, chickpeas, peppers, onions, and Indian-style chana masala sauce, served with sweet potato onion bhajis.

Completing the lineup is the Smoky Cajun Rice with BBQ Chicken and Sweetcorn Fritters, priced at £3.35 with 271 calories. This dish features cooked rice blended with roasted peppers, sweetcorn, roasted red onion, and a smoky paprika dressing, enhanced by BBQ-flavored chicken slices, sweetcorn fritters, and sliced spinach.

Diners can enjoy these delectable pasta pots and rice bowls as part of the cold sandwich or salad deal, starting from £3.75, which includes any hot or cold drink. Alternatively, the revamped spring menu is available for Click + Collect through the Greggs App or website, as well as for delivery via Just Eat or Uber Eats.
